Marcy and Chris had an amazing wedding at The Reid Farm barn, north of Atlanta, in Cumming, Georgia. Everything was amazing: Marcy and Chris, all the details, their wedding party and their guests.
We loved …
… their “surprise” first look! Chris knew he and Marcy were going to have a “first look”, but he thought it would the traditional “first look”. However, Marcy wanted to catch Chris off guard. So, we carefully orchestrated with the photographers to have Marcy walk through the barn doors while Chris was having his photo made. It went perfect!! Chris was completely taken by surprise and was in awe of his beautiful bride!
… their walk down the aisle! Marcy entered the ceremony through barn doors, then slowly started walking. At the same time, Chris took her bouquet from the Maid of Honor and started walking towards her. As they met in the middle, he gave her the bouquet and they walked to the front together. I loved this moment! It was beautiful and symbolic of “we’re always in this together … side by side”.
… their personalized details! They served various flavors of whoopie pies instead of cake. The guest favors were jars of Maine jelly (Marcy’s from Maine) and a glass bottle Coke with peanuts (Chris is from Georgia). These were just a few of our favorite details.
… their Wedding Day Edit reaction! While we were filming all day, Matt was also editing a short film that we played at the reception. There are a lot of pieces of the puzzle that have to come together for a Wedding Day Edit to happen. I loved watching Marcy and Chris as they watched the film. To see Marcy and Chris laugh, cry, smile and whisper to each other as it played, made all of the planning so very worth it!
