Kyle James Hauser

Kyle James Hauser is a Denver, Colorado-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist specializing in banjo. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Hauser has been a highly respected studio player for the better part of a decade, playing on albums by Head For The Hills, Will Knox, among others.

His debut solo studio album, 2011’s “Oh Oh,” was recorded with an all-star cast of national and local musicians, including cellist Ben Sollee (Sparrow Quartet) and guitarist Grant Gordy (David Grisman Quintet), produced by two-time Juno award winner Jayme Stone, and mastered by two-time Grammy award winner David Glassner at Airshow Mastering. sonaBLAST! Records released “Oh Oh” on November 15th.

Hauser was a finalist in the 2011 Telluride Troubadour Contest as well as the 2011 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Contest. He has shared the stage with artists such as Gregory Alan Isakov, The Infamous Stringdusters, G-Love and Special Sauce, and Lucinda Williams, as well as performing a showcase at CMJ in New York and headlining a show for Denver’s renowned Swallow Hill Music. This year, songs from “Oh Oh” have been used on two MTV series “Teen Mom” & “16 & Pregnant”.
