More Bolton Abbey…

The weekend wasn’t my first visit to Bolton Abbey this year, last month one of my friends got married close to Bolton Abbey and on the following day a few of us went for a walk.

It was a bit of a gloomy day in comparison to last weekend but I think the photos turned out really well for it – very atmospheric, a bit like I imagine Wuthering Heights to feel…

Tina left a comment yesterday about how lucky I am to be able to visit these places and she’s right. I love how close Kirkstall Abbey and Bolton Abbey are to where I live… especially when I get photos like these!

Family weekend fuji’s…

As it was my Dad’s birthday weekend (see previous post) my family came to visit and we went to Bolton Abbey for the day! Bolton AbbeyAlong the river at Bolton AbbeyHarry with his stickFamily at Bolton AbbeyBolton Abbey
I’m not sure what happened with the last photo but it does look pretty cool, I love film surprises… oh and Harry’s little face. He was very pleased with his stick!

Yeay for family weekends!

I still love red…

…especially bright red post boxes!

(don’t you love the glimspe of the market stalls behind the wall?)

We have great friends!!

Remember how excited I was when I posted on Friday…? Well our weekend was ruined by Boyfriend finding out that he didn’t get the job he interviewed for – even though he has been doing the job for 2 years and was the best person qualified for it
(I’m not going to bitch about it here but the way it was dealt with was disgusting )

Luckily we have awesome friends who distracted us and kept us happy over the weekend!

We went on swings, had a bbq, walked around an abbey and along the river and we ate lots of yummy baked cheescake! Its just a shame the weekend had to end… sigh
