I’m not even going to pretend anymore that I have time to blog about much of anything at this point, at least not until after the elections are over. I have been writing a bit about my revelations about life and the nature of the universe, but that stuff has to undergo some serious editing before I send it off to be carved in stone somewhere.
Since I know a good chunk of my massive readership was in New Orleans this past weekend, let’s try something different, and you tell me how it went. I’d honestly like to know. If you were too drunk to remeber anything or suffer from low self esteem, then feel free to make something up. Results from the contests would be appreciated as well.
Oh, if you took videos of anything down there, I think I speak for everyone when I say: Get that shit on the interwebs ASAP! please. Feel free to throw in 2008 and 2009 ULHS videos while you’re at it. I’m especially interested in seeing footage from the Showdown finals and the pool party. What?
ps just for Andrew: finish reading that thing Karen sent you so I can put something up for these people to read and we can bask in your collective glory.

Solo Charleston dance off:
Sickest thing ever. Bobby wins
Juan & Sharon v. Decavita’s
Quarter finals. Took two dance offs
Juan & sharon eventually won the finals, though Sara Deckard and (name I should remember) gave them a run for their money.
semi’s were Juan & Sharon v. Dargoff & Brittany and Sonia & Xavier vs. Sara &
Evita’s performance in solo blues was show stopping, though all of the competitors were unstoppable.
Hopefully videos surface of the slow dance prelims because the field in that competition was incredibly strong. Finals were fantastic. Kevin & Sharon won, Sara Deckard & Dargoff 2nd, Dan & Gaby 3rd
Team competion had a relatively small field, Rainer Rhythm from seattle won with a (I think) somewhat different version of their ILHC routine. Northen Lights and a girls group from seattle also competied
Couple Choreography, Juan & Sharon won with a new routine (I think it was new). I also particularly liked Xavier & Sonia’s Routine. Decavita’s had a new routine as well that was very well received.
Chance bushman & Lucy Faulkner won the Jack’n'Jill. Mark Kihara and Sara Deckard 2nd.
Musicians won the baseball game after dancer pitching collapsed in the bottom of the 7th. score went from 7-4 to 7-16 in one inning.
