I started climbing when I was 16 .I found a book at the library and I feel in love with it. I couldn’t stop thinking about climbing. I found a climbing gym called Coyote rock gym like 45 minutes from my house. I didn’t get a chance to go very often before I got my drivers license. My mom drove me there ones a week and I would stay there 8 hours a day till the gym closed and I had flappers on every finger. For some reason I really love campusing. I still do. All I would do was to try to campus every single boulder problem in the gym. I thing that’s why I have such a powerful style.

Right now I'm trying to concentrate more on my weaknesses and outdoor bouldering. I love putting first ascents at my physical limit I found tons of new boulder problems in Val-David(my local crag) just waiting to be climbed. I Would also like to do “the Fly V14” in Rumney and the project “The super fly” beside it, Its such a nice line and my style short and powerful.

I am also planning on moving to Boulder, Co to train and live with my Girlfriend.

Crazy Belly V12

This week i manage to send  Crazy Belly  V12, In Val-David,Qc. I’ve been going to Val-David For the past 3 weeks now, to try and establish some new problems and get the second ascent of Crazy Belly. Crazy belly is a great line. Its a long problem that requires power endurence, lots of core and tricky footwork. Here’s the video of the send!

Q & A

1) Who has impressed you most in this last year?

Daniel Woods

2) Describe a time when someone helped your climbing.

People help and inspire me in my climbing everyday. It can be a video I’ve seen on the internet or a new move or exercise I’ve seen someone do in the gym.

3) How do you deal with fans chasing you at all times?

That’s easy. I put on the good old fake moustache!

4) Where do you see your climbing going?

I want to concentrate on outdoor climbing more. I feel like I still have so much to learn. Outdoor climbing is very hard for me and it teaches me new tricks every time I go. I also really enjoy international competition, you make tons of new friends and everybody is so talented.
