What’s your story? I used to be owned and branded with the name the “Jackson Express” by this nice man in Michigan and now I’ve made it to the lovely city of Chicago.
What events do you plan on doing this year? I’m up for anything, but unfortunately I still haven’t learned how to drive myself. Assuming somebody’s free to take the wheel, I’m in, especially on Track nights. The best way to find out is to follow me on Twitter. My agent made me say that.
Anything else? Hopefully more often than not, I can commit to helping out the latest and greatest program coming out of Chicago, the Track Cats. They’ll need a ride every Friday night for the Fun Night of racing at Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook.
What are your goals for this year? I want to run well and keep everyone happy. Otherwise, I want to help create a modest shuttle system for fans, friends and racers along with the Cuttin’ Crew up on those weekday track nights. Then there’s cyclocross season. It’s a tough schedule, but I’m built for it.
Given this day and age, you must be pricey to operate. Care to justify that one? Well, yes. Of course there’s gas, then storage and maintenance costs are up there but with some donations, sponsorships, and camaraderie (the more the merrier and cheaper) I think I’ll be OK.
Aren’t the awning and air horns a little overkill? …this interview is over.
