In this first installment of the Cradle Cardigan knit-a-long, we’ll:

- cast on using a long-tail cast on (I’m working with Chickadee)
- work make one left (M1L) and make one right (M1R) increases
- work a backwards loop cast on
- work a yarn over (yo) button hole

A few disclaimers — this video production stuff is totally new to me. So the fact that it sounds like there’s a rattle snake in the room with me…not sure why that is. Also, I’m feeling a little vulnerable knitting in front of ALL of you…I’m sure among you are some very precise knitters. There are many different techniques you can use when knitting, this is just a sampling of some of the ones I love and the way I do them. Hey – maybe it will be helpful to some of you!

The next installment will air later this week. We’ll be dividing the sleeves from the body.
