Modern Interactive Data Analysis and Dashboards.

Connect to any source

The smartest, fastest, easiest way to work with data, from a single place.

Where is your data stored? Online? On-site?

Bime allows you to connect both worlds in the same place.

Bime can act as a “Live reader”, working remotely and in real-time. However, it does not require you to host your data in the cloud. Nevertheless, this choice has numerous advantages: access your data anytime and anywhere. You can upload your data seamlessly to Déjà Vu, our distributed cache.

open Databases

If you have invested money and time to store all your business data in relational databases, if you have already gathered masses of information about sales, finance, logistics, human resources, purchases, etc. then the odds are that you are struggling to analyze all this information.

With Bime, easily connect to Oracle™, PostgreSQL™, Mysql™, Microsoft Sql Server™, FireBird™, Informix, SADAS™ or IBM DB2™. Answer questions using the data with simple drag & drop operations. You no longer need to ask your IT department to make queries for you.

Our proprietary, award-winning in-memory OLAP engine allows you to handle millions of lines of data in a single web browser, to make complex calculations and to create stunning visualizations using the results.

open Microsoft Excel files

Microsoft Excel™ is mostly used as a BI Front End to store and analyze business data.

With Bime, you have only one version of the truth as everyone is using the same version of the data. It’s the end of the “spreadsheet by mail” nightmare. Update the data in your spreadsheets and everyone will be up-to-date.

Moreover, Excel data becomes available online for people you authorize to use it.

Finally, you can interactively mix and filter data coming from Excel and other data sources such as Oracle™.

Connnect to OLAP engines

If you have already invested in on-premises Business Intelligence and now want to give your users a ‘best of breed’ user interface on top of your existing system, this is now very easy. Bime gives users an easy-to-use, non-technical, web-based “zero footprint” interface on top of the power of your OLAP engine. This will breathe new life into your existing investment in technologies such as Microsoft Analysis Services™, Mondrian OLAP Engine or Oracle Essbase™.

Open CSV

Sometimes you just want to analyze data stored in Text Files. Bime gives all the flexibility you need to extract meaning from any CSV and flat files format you may encounter.

Open SOAP Web Services

Bime can introspect any SOAP based Web Services and extract data for analysis. No code here or specific development. Just point to your WSDL, a couple of clicks and boom, you are analyzing data. Also, Service Providers can add Business Intelligence capabilities on top of their existing API. Don’t hesitate to contact us for partnership oportunities.

Connect to Google Analytics

By connecting Google Analytics, Bime turns into an incredibly powerful web analytics tool that allows deep crossed data analysis: you can easily extract dimensions and metrics from your website traffic data and enjoy the different powerful Bime visualizations and its calculation engine. You have complete control over your data, from the extraction to the visualization. You are completely free to ask any questions and not limited anymore by a set of prebuilt reports.

open Salesforce.com data

You use Saleforce™ for managing customer relations.

Salesforce gives you the possibility to create sales reports within your web account. Bime allows you to go even further: to create calculated fields, to mix data from different data sources in a single dashboard, to create rich data visualization and to view your sales like never before using Google ™ maps.

open Google Spreadsheets files

Enter the world of online spreadsheets. Work with one version of the truth, intelligent version management, no software to install and data that is accessible from anywhere anytime. Google Spreadsheets is all that and much more.

With Bime, easily connect to Google Spreadsheets. You can aggregate several spreadsheets and worksheets in one model. Just imagine: your subsidiaries fill in some spreadsheets, then you consolidate all this data in just a few minutes.

open ligthouse

Lighthouse is a beautifully simple bug tracking system. Actually, Bime was built using Lighthouse to organize all developments.

By leveraging the lighthouse API directly in Bime, you can extract considerable information and analyze how good (or bad) you are at developing your software.

open simpleDB

Imagine a hassle-free database, one with no upfront investments, that is easy to design and even easier to maintain. Amazon SimpleDB is a database in the cloud. With Bime, you can turn it into your data warehouse in the cloud.

Google Big Query is big data for the rest of us. Easy to use, easy to manage (nothing to do), cost effective (pay-as-you-go) and virtually limitless in terms of scalability.

I (nicolas) once said Big Query is a sky-is-the-limit-hassle-free analytic database. It’s a bit convoluted but I still think it captures the essence of what Big Query is. Scaling databases is hard. Scaling analytic databases is very hard given the resource-intensive task of aggregation. Big Query solves the scaling of analytic databases problem in a beautiful way.

To give you a better idea, check out this video of an analytic session in Bime on top of almost half a billion rows:

Facebook Insights is the API where the Facebook content data is available. From Facebook:

Facebook Insights provides Facebook Platform developers and Facebook Page owners with metrics around their content. By understanding and analyzing trends within user growth and demographics, consumption of content, and creation of content, Page owners and Platform developers are better equipped to improve their business and create better experiences on Facebook.

The query model of the Facebook API is really different from the one in Bime. For this reason, it’s launched in Beta so we can gather maximum feedback around it.
