k – knit
p – purl
st(s) – stitch(es)
st st – stockinette / stocking st
bo – bind off, also known as cast off
sl – slip, slip all sts purlwise with
yarn at back except when working a decrease
w+t – with yarn at front sl1, bring yarn to back, return sl st to left needle, turn (if next st is a k bring yarn to back)
pm – place marker
slm – slip marker
k2tog – knit 2 together
ssk – slip, slip, knit slipped sts together
p2tog – purl 2 together
sl1, k2tog, psso – slip 1, k2tog, lift sl st over st just worked
k3tog – knit 3 together
kfb – k in front and back of next st
yo – yarn over
m1(p) – make one (pick up the strand between the needles from the front and place on the left needle tip, knit or purl it through the back loop)
RLI – k into the st immediately below the next st
LLI – k into the st 2 rows below the previous st
inc 4 – (k1, p1)twice, k1 into next st
beg – begin(ning)
rnd(s) – round(s)
