About Adam Torson

Adam Torson debated at Fargo South High School. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and has a J.D. from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. From 2004-2009 he was the director of debate at Hopkins High School (MN), and from 2009-2012 he was an assistant coach at Harvard-Westlake (CA). He will be the Director of Debate at the Marlborough School (CA) beginning in the 2012-2013 season. Adam is a curriculum director at the Victory Briefs Institute and is the Editor of our VB topic analysis books and debate textbooks.

What did we learn from the Presidential debates so far? As usual, the answer is “not much.” For as long as just about anyone can recall, these “debates” have been political theater more than a meaningful exercise in determining who should be the next leader of the free world. “What’s your comprehensive plan for controlling the federal deficit? You have two minutes. Go.”
